Last March 6, the team conducted two focus group discussion sessions for MHCC and MSME. The FGDs were conducted in University of St. La Salle (USLS), with assistance by the USLS-Balayan and USLS-Business Resource Center (BRC).
The MHCC FGD session was conducted in the morning and had eleven (11) participants. In attendance were Barangay Health Workers (BHW) and Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) coming from the barangays covered during the data gathering activities (Brgys. Bago, Banago, and Punta Taytay). There were participants as well which came from Brgy. Villamonte, which was not previously covered.
The MSME FGD was conducted in the afternoon and attended by <10> participants. The participants were micro-entrepreneurs which are partners of the USLS-BRC. The BRC is a service unit of USLS committed to the growth and development of community-based private business enterprise.
Each FGD session ran for two (2) hours. Each session started with a short overview of the open data project. The team then presented the findings from the data gathering activities. This was followed by a breakout session which was intended to surface additional inputs, possible disputes to findings, etc based on the experiences of the participants. To cap off the FGD session, the groups presented the output of their group work.
